The whole month of February in the UK is devoted to celebrating LGBT history. Championed by our friends at LGBT Youth Scotland this is a time to raise awareness of LGBT issues, visibility of LGBT identities and champion ever improving equality.
To mark the month long initiative we have a few activities in our drop-in and a great window display celebrating pioneers of LGBT rights. Pop along to take a picture in our history month selfie frame or to find out more about LGBT+ inclusive services in your local area. And as always, access safe sex materials, BBV testing and pregnancy testing.
This year’s history month theme is “Catalyst” and we hope that we can continue being a catalyst for change. LGBT inclusion is important to Crew which is why we have completed the LGBT Charter mark to help us look at our policies and service provision and ensure that our organisation is the best it can be when it comes to LGBT issues – we currently have a Bronze award but watch this space over the coming years as we go for gold!
