Crew are looking for sensational strollers, happy space hoppers or anyone up for any safe, physically-distanced sponsored challenge to take part in the #VirtualKiltwalkWeekend taking place 11th-13th of September 2020.
If you’d like to help Crew reduce more harm, you don’t have to walk to take part!
You could
- Jump around on a space hopper
- Walk or skip circuits of your garden or local park
- Climb stairs in your house or close a set amount of times
As long as you don a bit of tartan while you do it (we’ll provide a Crewbie Kiltwalk badge) you can be part of our Crew Kiltwalkers Team and help us raise essential funding for Crew to continue our work.
Have a look at the progress of the team so far on our Everyday Heroes fundraising page where we can share photos, updates and suggestions.
The Kiltwalk allows participants to raise money for a charity of their choice. Thanks to Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation each Kiltwalker’s fundraising receives an extra 50% donation*. So if you raise £100 for Crew, we receive £150. *Please note the extra 50% is subject to deadline 20th September 2020 and up to a limit of £5,000 per participant.
You must keep to Scottish Government guidance, and it’s likely to be safer to plan your challenge to take place locally. If you can raise any amount, we’d love to have your support! We’ll pay your entrance fee and provide tips to help you get ready. You just need to make sure you select ‘Team Crew Kiltwalkers’ as a team when you are joining. Please share the #TeamCrewKiltwalkers love on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, letting us know about your own #VirtualKiltwalkWeekend challenge, ideas and tips.
Not based in Edinburgh? No problem! You can join us from anywhere in the word. We can pay your entrance fee and we would love to hear from you.
Every penny you raise will help Crew reduce more drug harm. Please email admin@crew2000.org.uk to sign up as part of our Kiltwalk team or for more information about taking part.
